UNITED BY JIU JITSU

One Family No Division

24 Jiu Jitsu Caerphilly is a community of individuals who share a love and passion for martial arts. We've created an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes growth, development and well-being for all members, regardless of age, gender, ability, experience, background or any other unnecessarily perceived boundaries.

Our children's and youth programme is a key part of the larger community and we are actively working to build relationships across all ages and experiences. This programme will encourage children and youth to develop into active, polite, humble, respectful and strong individuals who will gain valuable life experiences throughout their training.

Our philosophy is that the greatest form of strength lies in the ability to support and to lift up others and this mindset is deeply ingrained in our team and extended community through kindness and encouragement.

It doesn't matter why any member choses to step on the mats - BJJ will serve as an excellent tool for growth and development! Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will push and test you in every possible way and it's in this adversity that we grow as a team and individuals. With care and support we all help each other through the processes and make true friends along the way.

Our Values

Our values form the foundation of who we are as a community and define what we stand for. These values include:

Respect:

Treating others with dignity and consideration, valuing their opinions, and acknowledging their contributions.

Perseverance:

The determination to keep going despite challenges and setbacks and to never give up on our goals.

Honesty:

Being truthful in our actions and words, and upholding the highest standards of integrity.

Dedication:

Committing ourselves fully to our training and personal growth and continuously striving to improve.

Kindness:

Showing compassion and empathy towards others, and creating a warm and welcoming environment for all.

Patience:

Taking the time to listen, understand, and support others and recognising that growth and development take time.

Understanding:

Acknowledging and accepting differences, and embracing diversity in all its forms.

Compassion:

Caring for others, and being there for them in their times of need.

Honor:

Being honest, having strong moral principles and showing respect to oneself and others. It is considered essential for personal integrity, recognition and reputation within a community.

*

These values shape our interactions with each other and serve as a guiding light for our behaviour on and off the mats.
